•         Other sponsors have helped with contributions of materials, services and equipment loan. These have included Bond Batteries, Discovery Science and Technology Centre, Ozweld Engineering, Hume and Iser’s Home Hardware, the Touch Up guys.

Weeroona College thanks these local businesses for their invaluable support over the years and trust that others will support these community spirited businesses.

 Community Involvement

 Over the years we have endeavored to be involved in the community in various ways which have included the following:-

- Sponsors have used our vehicles for displays.

- Our vehicles have been used at the ‘Discovery Science & Technology Centre’ Bendigo, for display and for holiday presentations.

- Weeroona students and vehicles have visited local primary schools for presentations.

- Prius Junior was invited and taken to Sydney by Toyota for the national launch of Toyota Prius in 2001.

- Weeroona students and vehicles have participated in several community events including the Australia Day display at Lake Weeroona, the Bendigo Easter procession and the opening of the Bendigo Exhibition Centre.

- Our vehicles and efforts at events have been frequently reported in the local newspaper.

- Parents and ex-students frequently assist the program, both in vehicle construction and at events.

- Co-ordinator, John Taylor, has presented workshops at teacher conferences and given assistance to other schools starting the activity.
